Third Street Brewhouse Spotlight IPA

Third Street Brewhouse is the fairly recent craft beer offshoot of the Cold Spring Brewery of Cold Spring, Minnesota. The beer pours the color of orange golden honey and dried apricots. There is a tall, thick head of off-white foam. The aroma is tangy, citrusy, grapefruit, some passion fruit, and light, sweet tropical notes. The taste follows the aromas, a touch sweet, very tangy, fruity, with just enough toasted malt and a touch of caramel to balance it out some. It is only moderately bitter, but there is some grapefruit bite on the end. It drinks easy, crisp, smooth, quite refreshing. An easy drinking IPA.
