Three Floyds Alpha King

This 6.66% ABV pale ale is from Three Floyds Brewing of Munster, Indiana. This is one of their flagship beers. I understand it will no longer be available in bottles, but only in draft, being replaced by their new Yum Yum pale ale.

The beer pours a very deep amber, burnt orange and dark copper to light brown in color. There is a tall and thick head of off-white to very light tan foam. The aroma is citrus, full of orange and caramel malt, a bit floral.  The taste follows the aromas quite directly, loads of orange and caramel, toasted malts, more fruit on the end, with a quite bitter finish. It is medium-bodied, drinking smooth, and refreshing.
