Lucky Bucket Jug Thumper Malty Brown Ale

The Lucky Bucket Brewing Company is in La Vista, Nebraska (just south of Omaha). This 5.5% ABV brew is a self-described malty brown ale.

The beer pours dark brown, with a bit of ruby, looking like a cola, right down the heavy carbonation on the sides of the glass and the short tan head. The aroma is malty, roasted, sweet, fruity, tangy, nutty. The taste is even more roasted, nutty, almost a hint of smoke. The beer drinks very easy, with a tingle of carbonation. The finish is dry. The flavors here are great, I wish the body was just a bit heavier and smoother.
