Tallgrass Ginger Peach Saison

This is a 4.8% ABV saison ale made with ginger and peaches. It is from the Tallgrass Brewing Company in Manhattan, Kansas.

The beer pours a hazy orange golden. There is a tall, ragged, white head with big popping bubbles. The aroma is strong on ginger, moderate on yeasty, estery saison notes, and lightest on the peach tones. The taste follows the path of the aromas, drinking like a big, traditional ginger beer with yeast notes added, the peach barely discernible in the taste, mostly a light note on the finish. The beer drinks crisply carbonated, adding the bite of carbonation to the bite of ginger. I like the strong ginger, but I wish they would amp up the peach a bit to contrast with it.
